The center was founded in 1979 by the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Athens and is part of the "Eginition Hospital".

The center offers:

• Information and sensitization of residents and agencies on mental health, so as to prevent mental disorders.
• Psychological support to people with personal or family problems.
• Psychiatric treatment and monitoring.
• Psychosocial and vocational rehabilitation of persons with chronic psychiatric problems.
